Now Entering Dreamland, Dream Diary #5

Another night, another vivid dream to share. Does this mean I am back to getting vivid dreams? Who knows…

  • The first thing I remember about the dream is that I was in a log cabin. I was wearing a flannel shirt (like a lumber jack. I have a very *basic* idea of what lumberjacks wear).
  • I walked into a dark mine shaft.
  • I was with a crew of people and we all wore headlamps.
  • I used a pick axe and opened a bunch of geodes.
  • There was a really cool dog in the mines, too.
  • The miners were fighting, but when I woke up I could not remember what they were fighting about.

This dream may be a direct pull from this video game I have been playing a lot recently, called Stardew Valley. I also really want a dog.

Now Entering Dreamland, Dream Diary #4

I had my first vivid dream in almost two weeks! I was wondering why I wasn’t remembering my dreams. To be determined, I suppose. Here is what I remember from my latest dream.

  • I was in a very large ballroom in a very majestic, but old, hotel. For a reference: it looked very similar to The Overlook Hotel in The Shining. (Any other Stephen King fans here?)
  • I ordered a cocktail from the bar and walked away from the bar and tried to drink my cocktail, but apparently, unknown to me, I spilled it and there was no more liquid in my glass. I ordered another cocktail, and this patterned repeated on end for a seemingly long time. I never got to drink any cocktail. Boo.
  • It was established that a large party, I think a birthday party, was taking place. I didn’t recognize anyone in this dream from my actual life, but my dream self recognized them/ seemed friendly with these people.
  • Everyone started to dance- classic ballroom dancing.
  • It was raining outside.

What could this mean? In my mind, I think I just miss being around people. Is there some deeper meaning?

Now Entering Dreamland, Dream Diary #3

Another strange dream I wanted to write:

  • I went to work, my workplace looked a lot like my old job with a few office differences.
  • My childhood friend, whom we will call Larry, was working there as well.
  • He revealed to me that he moved back home. He was adamant he did not want me to tell anyone he moved back home.
  • I visited my old high school.
  • Everyone there was obsessed with a meeting type of fruit, a hybrid pomegranate.

New day, new vivid dream I wanted to share and analyze.

Here is what I remember from my dream last night.

  • My dream had two distinct parts.
  • The first part took place during New Year’s Eve. I was going to a very fancy party.
  • I arrived at this huge mansion where the party was being held.
  • I grabbed a cocktail and made my way into a room where other guests were. I said hi. Looking back, I do not recognize these people/ these are not people I know from my real life.
  • After I said hi, the host of the party turned to me, upset, and told me I was the reason his tuxedo was dirty.
  • I said something to the effect of: “Dude, I just got here.” To which he became more upset and asked me to go with him to the tailor to get a new outfit. I responded with: “but the party is happening now.” Great argument, Stacey.
  • BREAK
  • This is when the second part of the dream started. I was in an entirely new place, which really resembled the swamp from Red Dead Redemption 2.
  • I was going on a mission to find a particular flying insect.
  • I found one and then the dream ended.
  • This part of the dream is pretty literal, I think, I like playing Red Dead Redemption 2.

When I woke up this morning, I noticed that at some point in the night I had been sleepwalking. I must have brought out the extra pillow from my closet and put it on the ground, and slept there for at least part of the night, because there is no explanation as to why I would do this.

Now Entering Dreamland, Dream Diary #1

One reason I started this would be to provide a platform to write down my dreams, what I remember of them, to act as a dream journal for future analyzing purposes.

Here is what I remember from my dream last night.

  • I was in a large room, the size of a school gym. I wasn’t able to leave the room.
  • The room was being guarded by someone, and even though I wanted to leave the room, I had no particular upset feelings towards this guard. I can’t remember their face now, but I do think they had one.
  • One wall of this room was see-through, and on the other side of it was a cake filled with strawberries. Wow, I wanted this cake.
  • I was devising a plan to get the cake when I woke up. Honestly, I spent most of the dream just sitting in a chair, thinking about cake.
  • I also slept walked last night.
  • I woke up in front of my computer, trying to work 😴
